Will Updating My IPod Touch Delete My Music?

Question by : Will Updating My IPod Touch Delete My Music?
So I know there are SO many of these questions, but, I still don’t understand… Any who, I just received a new IPod touch 4th generation for Christmas but the songs I want are on a computer that is probably a bajillion years old and basically the new ipod is too advanced for the old computer. And all the songs i want are on my old Itouch. But, when I go to update Itunes it wont let me because it doesn’t have enough space or something. So i use my school laptop when i want songs, (usually not from Itunes), and so none of my songs are backed up on this computer or basically anywhere. So I don’t want my songs to delete so will updating my 2nd gen ipod touch. But i want to update the software to be able to buy Bump and possibly share a bunch of my music with my new ipod.

So, basically, New Ipod and old ipod. Need to update old ipod. Different computer. No backed up music. Will an update erase all my music? THANKS IN ADVANCE! (ps. sorry about the long question)
can you even share music through bump?
I also have alot of music from different computers so..

If you update an ipod to a new computer you will get all the music from your new computer but lose all your music from your old computer
