What should I do if my iPod touch plays music, but not vocals?

Question by America: What should I do if my iPod touch plays music, but not vocals?
Recently my iPod touch has had audio issues where it will play the music and back-up vocals, but the main melody and vocals sound static and far away. I tried using the Restore feature in iTunes, then I updated the newest version, and updated my iPod. However, none of it worked. I tried several troubleshooting sites suggested by and/or provided by Apple, but I couldn’t find and solutions that matched my problem.

Maybe you are plugging in some 3-pole headphones. I used to have the same problem with mi ipod shuffle. There are 3-pole headphones that don’t have this issue so try with some other headphones including the 2-pole and it might solve the problem.

The three pole headphones have 3 color strips on the jack. For Apple headphones these strips are white. The same with the two-pole.
