Question by AllySunshinee(:: What is that converter called that plays your iPod music out loud in your car?
Not just charges it. But you plug it into your car, and iPod and it plays your iPod music out loud. I want to know what the name of it is so I don’t go around Best Buy confused.
How much do you think it will be?

I think you are thinking of an FM transmitter. You plug it in and tune your car radio to the frequency of the transmitter and get your ipod’s music through your car stereo.
I.think they’re pretty cheap. You’ll want to make sure that you get one that has an adjustable frequency so that you don’t get interference from am FM radio station.

What do you think? Answer below!

    It’s called an FM transmitter.
You can get them from $ 20 & up.
    They are notorious for static.
My nephew was using them in his vehicle, & the sound sometimes was great, other times it was awful, & he bought a high quality one.
For his birthday, I had an auxiliary plug installed.
Best-Buy installed it, it works great…

You don’t need a converter, you will need a portable speaker – they come in all sizes, shapes & colors. They will reun anywhere from $ 9 and up. You’ll also need a cable to plug into both. If you get an inactive one (no power) you’ll not be able to adjust the volume.

Well its not a converter as such, but there are many versions of it, one called the iTrip by Griffin.
