Question by colt_cheer05: How do I get my music from my iPod onto my new computer?
I just got a new computer and I wanted to put my iPod Touch songs on my iTunes. iTunes automatically transferred the songs I bought, but what about the ones I did not purchase from iTunes? Is it possible for me to put those songs on my iTunes also without having to re-download every single one on my new computer? PLEASE HELP!

Here is an easy way I’ve used. Simply use this iBackup – iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer program to help you get all songs (including unbought ones) from iPod to your new computer

It was designed to help copy all music, videos, photos, playlists, podcasts and more from your iPod to your computer and iTunes in the quickest and easiest way. And with it, we don’t need to worry about any data loss. Then you can sync smoothly.

Just free download it to try. It works like a charm.

I don’t know of a simple way to do this. The ipods that are not the touch or iphone, can be accessed through hidden files but the ipod touch and iphone are set up differently. I would say that your best choice is to look for a third party FREE program that can access the ipod touch such has itunes and will allow you to remove files from the ipod. There is a program called FLOOLA for the other ipods that can do this but it doesn’t work for the touch. Go to this site, snapfiles.com and search under the freeware for ipod touch and a lot of programs will pop up that might help you.

Another method is to simple get a external hard drive or jump drive connect it to the older PC and transfer what you can (all or some) to it and then transfer those files to the new PC and repeat the process until the files are all moved to the new PC. Once you do get all the files onto the new PC you will need to authorize your new PC to run all the files that you downloaded from itunes. You can do this but going to store, or, advance located on the menu line in itunes.
