you can do it with your music library but itunes offer so much more. And it’s great because if you don’t have the more recent songs, there you can find them. Good luck!

You can download iTunes, import your music into iTunes. Click File | Add Folder to Library and find the folder that contains your music. The files will be added to your iTunes and will be able to be uploaded to your iPod. You may want to set the iPod to be manually updated so that you don’t lose your sister’s music, you’ll be able to do this once iTunes is downloaded and the iPod is connected to your computer.

Note: If your music is DRM protected through another company, you will not be able to import the files into iTunes.

Depends on the file type. I believe AAC files work and I surely know that mp3 and iTunes bought music works on an iPod. You have to select the manually manage music to drag your songs onto the iPod or just add them the iTunes Library and then Sync the songs onto the iPod. Just one warning, make sure all the songs have an artist and or album or no album. If an artist has a song with an album and another without, the one without won’t work.

Heck no you dont….but you do need i tunes to put music on it. Here is the catch….one iPod can only be hooked up to one iTunes Library at a time, so all the song your sister have will be erased from the iPod and your songs will be added…I use limewire to download songs, and then just tranfer them into iTunes….good luck
